When the veils are gone

Through a jungle of words and concepts
gems are hidden as signposts
to bring the earnest ones home.

When Life is meant to find completion
it will do so in spite of
all help and all obstacles.

Nothing depends on circumstances
all is the face of the Beloved
when the veils are gone.

Good news..

Where would you need to go
when you find out that you
are already home?

Well the good news is that you are..

And if you do not feel this yet,
start questioning all the beliefs which
tell you otherwise.

Who knows it might be only the filters through which you
look at your self and the world which
distort this plain and simple fact.

It is not the you or the world which need to change.
it is only to become aware of the blinders
which have obstructed the clear view.

It is looking without a story,
without a you.
Just looking.

It is hearing, sounds entering,
without an interpretation
Just hearing.

It is life,
with no person at the center of it

Life without resistance
to what is.

Just living.

The conversation

The conversation
this morning
where the soft sand gave way
when my bare foot came down,
knispering,
the dew drops from the grass
gushing down the ankle
and the sound of small twigs breaking
on the forest floor.

The conversation
yesterday with acro yoga
with the weight and delicate finding of ease
as one balances in midair upside down on
some other bodies feet.
Not knowing anymore where one body starts
and the other begins.
Only sensations are perceived
of stretching, balancing, weight, movement
and the world seen from unusual angles.

The conversation
at all times on going
as one moves and sees,
hears and smells
tastes and touches
all and everything that appears
in our field of perception.

A fullness and aliveness always there
but rarely noticed in richness and intensity
as most of our attention stays captivated by
the belief in the personal construct.

While at each moment a million things are going on
the narration of keeping the me alive
hijacks the direct perception
of what each moment is presented to us.

The Aliveness without filters.
What a rich a marvelous universe

What if..

What if we always already are
the wholeness,
the fullness,
the aliveness.

What if, even if we do not feel it,
are already whole and complete.

What if we could trust this message
because it resonates with something inside of us already.

And because the one saying these words
inspires confidence.

And an unshakeable permanence
unheard of in this world of shifting shapes
filters down through the words.

What if because of this trust in the message
a bridge is build between what is and what appears to be.

And one follows naturally the way back home.

What if it only takes the allowing

the consideration that it is possible

entertain the possibility.

What if...

Shape shifter

When we say we are a person
what we are actually meaning is a combination
of an energetic contraction and unexamined ideas.

A person makes it sound like something solid
and independent,  separate.

While if we look closely
it is an ever shifting amalgam of memories,
habits, reaction, convictions, wishes,
aversions,  opinions.
Which are mostly not questioned,
but which change whenever we do.

And this is connected to a body which
is also changing shape ever since it
made its appearance.

It is all those believed ideas which
keeps the energetic contraction into place.

The paradox

Who is the one reading these words right now?
What is it that perceives these words?

Is it confined to the body?
Does the one reading this stops at the skin?

Or is it confined to the mind and its processes.
The comprehension,  the reactions,
the thoughts coming and going?

If one takes the trouble to investigate,
just where one is right now,
inevitably one finds that there is no end to This.

Everything is perceived,
is known
in This and as This.

Including the body,
the thoughts,
the emotions,
the perceptions,
the swaying trees,
the sound of water,
and a car passing by.

Everything is perceived equally.
There is not one thing more yours than other things.

Life is impersonal

AND

Everything is perceived equally
Everything you meet and encounter is You,
There is no other.
Not Two.

Life is Personal

Everything is You

The total paradox...

It is neither personal nor impersonal and yet
at once personal and impersonal.

Personality is a fiction of the impersonal;

impersonality the mask of a Person.

Raya Buddha

Buddhahood does not happen by being made to happen.
It is unsought and naturally indwelling, and so is
spontaneously present.
Rest nonconceptually in this effortless, natural abiding state.

~The All-Creating Monarch Tantra, from Longchenpa's
Treasury of the Basic Space of Phenomena

Just This

The obviousness of this perspective is amazing.

It is screaming at us,
as every sound and taste,
and every thought and feeling,
every sight and touch.

Happening through all the senses already.

Nothing you need to do for this,
Nothing you need to achieve.

As it is already the case.

This is all there is.

The preoccupation with the story,
with keeping up the self image is so absorbing
and so much work that we loose sight of
this plain and very simple fact.

The natural state is not something to be achieved,
it is discovering and recognizing
that it is never not here,
and happening as all there is.

Just This..

The game of distinctions

There is only This.
Ever..
Appearing as Everything.

All the different understandings,
e.g. traditional advaita vedanta,
versus neo advaita,  is never versus really,
as both are appearances in This.

Its the mind's nature to make distinctions,
it is doing this so well,  that we believe them
to be true.

Well, this is then also only a game of distinction
appearing in This as This..

Nothing is ever excluded.

Unadorned

2 months ago we started an Auroville Nondual Meetup group.

http://www.meetup.com/Auroville-Nondual-Meetup-Group/

Nonduality being fairly unknown in Auroville
we thought to put it up as a possibility where people
with this interest could meet.
Exchange views and  insights.
And share the joy of discovering.

In India of course there is a deep tradition of
Nonduality or Advaita.
With names like Ramana Maharshi,  Nisargadatta,
just to name a few.

And there are places where advaita is attracting
many who are interested in this topic,
like Rishikesh or Tiruvanamalai.

To our surprise young people from neighbouring cities
like Chennai and Pondicherry are joining our meetings.
They see our Meetup announcement and come
with an openness and curiosity.

They have never heard of Nisargadatta, Ramesh Balsekar.
And they love this unadorned message.
Free from tradition,  worship and incense.

Just the exploration into what we truly are.

Nothing standing in between you and anything.

Only This.

This is all there is.

Just This.

You are the acceptance of what is.

Blasting

The blasting good news is,
there is nothing to achieve
because you are already what
you are seeking.

( Wow, this is already HOME..)

The bad news is,
there is no one who could
benefit from it.

This is It  :-)

Whoosy

Knowing that I am not a person.

Not knowing what I am.

Do you?

Do you buy into everything they have told you?
Society, education, upbringing?

Are you your thoughts?
is that where your identity lies?

Or is it more your feelings,
moods which can give physical sensations?
Is that you?

Do you have the courage to look at your
identifications in another way?

Dare questioning the status quo?
This is me.

Is it?

What you are is no object,
it is not a thing,
it is nothing that you can name,
it is not solid

One can become a little disoriented,
dizzy, whoosy going from the identification
of form to this formless openness.

Remember this is not about thoughts and concepts.
It is an investigation,
experientially,
looking how things are

Let go of all concepts,  and just look, see.

What you are does not come and go
it is always right here and now
Does not judge and label
Already totally available
and present
Without effort
Without practice
Already the looking through your eyes
Already the hearing of the sounds
Already life living

Always happening NOW.

This is IT..

Kicking the lazy separate self butt....

"There is no doer"

is not the same as

"there is nothing to do".

There is no doer might be taken by the personal construct,
the body-mind organism still under the impression
of being a separate individual that there is nothing to do.

So the statement there is no doer is taken as a concept.
And a position is taken in regards to this statement.
The interpretation often leading to passivity,
complacency,  and a quiet desperation.

I can't do anything is not what is meant...

There is no doer,  is a description of how it already is.
And the invitation is to investigate,
is to find in your own experience that what
this concept is pointing at,  if it is true.

So in a way the concept there is no doer invites,
asks the reader to look,  to investigate,  to do something.

It invites the beingness you are already,
but which is wrapped up in wrong concepts,
to start questioning this individual you think you are.

If this thirst for reality takes over it can be intense,
passionate and as it takes over more and more,
it is seen and recognized that the beingness,
oneness has been there from beginning to start.

It is the One looking for Itself.

The search is not a person trying to find enlightenment,
It is Oneness trying to wriggle Itself out of the confines of
this personal construct.

All the beliefs which tells you
right now that you are an individual,
separate and independent.

Actually Beingness would love to
kick your lazy separate self butt seriously
so you will finally start questioning this false identity.

Nothing personal

Nothing is personal.

The person is not real.

It does not mean that the energy patterns created
by our beliefs,  our concepts,
all the things we think is me, do not exist.

They do exist, and this is the cause of the creation of
the energetic construct of a me.
And what makes us experience ourselves as separate
and independent.

The beliefs which were holding this idea
of a person together when we were a
child are different than what is holding
this me together right now.

So it is not solid and has no independent existence.

The problem comes when we hear a statement like:
The person does not exist.

Fear and anxiety might come up.
We get scared because this is all we know.
We know ourselves as this person.

In reality the only thing that dies
is the ideas we have of ourselves.

The me we think we are,
is seen for the construct it is.
The illusion is seen through.

We notice and know that we are existing.
Are existence itself
in which everything appears and disappears.

From a tight fist,  the person, the resistance,
its an opening of the hand ,  a flowing,
and just seeing, knowing, experiencing.

This is all there is.

Just This..

Simplicity itself

Sun touched

How is Anamika?  a friend asked.

Anamika is going continuously through changes;
from a bit heavy to ecstatic,
from tired to well being,
from sitting quietly at home watching a movie
to running a company,
or visiting a bedridden friend.

Some thoughts are turning around this a bit,
but are gone in no time.
And while all these changes are happening
there is the perception of that occurrence
through all the senses.
The person Anamika is never separate from that
which is happening.
The smell,  the sights, the sounds, the touch, the taste.

Everything is always changing.

And everything is simply seen.

Nothing is personal.

Sunday morning,
a deafening Silence and
children voices,
birds,
wind in the palm trees,
sun touched green,
looking out of the window,
typing these words

Just happening

No more veils

The sweet silent miracle of
knowing oneself to be
Self.

And in so knowing
Knowing All
intimately.

A rooster crowing

The sensation of coolness where
the stone floor meets the foot

A lizard chirping

The smell of smoke drifting in
from a nearby village.

Day breaks and dim shapes
turning into bushes and trees.

A peacock calling out

Is All you touching me

Oh how close you are
My very own Self
No more veils
to hide your radiant gaze

From every corner of the universe
I see only You seeing Me

Ever present

What is it that we are?

Truly

What is it in us that is always here?

What is it in us that notices the sunlight
reflected on a drop of water
hanging from a leaf?

or the swishing of palm leaves
in the wind ?

An ant crossing the terrace?

The humming of the fridge?

What is it in us which sees thoughts and emotions?

The irritations and moods?

The breathing out?

The neighbor shouting loud?

What is That which sees,
since forever,
all appearances coming and going
Changelessly so.?

Look beyond the coming and goings
of appearances to That which is always present.

There is only This.

Everything else comes and goes.

And there are no words to describe This

Its non conceptual

beyond words

but ever present.

??

Wow...

Wow

There is only what is.

What it is we do not know

We only know that it is.

All else is a story.

Wow

Returning to Source...

 Jerry katz wrote on Facebook:

It's beautiful when things fall apart.
And the following came as a result of this sentence:

Every appearance is inevitably on the way
towards its demise.

A newborn baby carries the inescapable certainty
that the body will die.

A mountain is likewise continuously changing
its appearance.

Centuries from now erosion will have
carried away large chunks of this seemingly solid
and unchanging appearance in the landscape.

This fact of destruction, annihilation and
falling apart is something that,
when not resisted and judged,
carries an incredible beauty.

Its a feature from Source,  from Emptiness itself.

And something which we often prefer to ignore, or avoid.

But when we are able to take in this ravaging
characteristic of the infinite, we see a raw,
awesome and often exhilarating power.

Breathtaking after natural disasters.
After a tsunami or cyclone when all
the world has changed appearance
beyond recognition,
one feels awestruck...

At any moment the process of falling apart
of dying,
of returning to Emptiness,
can evoke feelings of wonder and awe,
of tenderness,
of sadness and grief.

Any emotion might turn up witnessing
this natural process of returning to Source.

And these emotions also come and disappear.

All returns to Source as Source

Just happening..
